The Factors That Contribute To Headaches

By on September 2, 2009

headacheWhile headaches are things everybody has at a certain point in their lives, you need to make sure that their frequency does not indicate something else.

While it is normal to have once or two times per year because you haven’t slept well during one day or you are stressed out or something like that, you should really raise an alarm if you have headaches two times or three times a week, because this is not normal.

Even though you are taking pain medication for getting rid of the pain, this will not alleviate the problem, since you still haven’t found the root to your problem. Therefore, you should be thinking of something and here is a list of factors that might be causing your problem.

The accumulation of toxins

Your body might be overloaded with toxins, which decrease the oxygen amount going to your brain. Therefore, if you have a pain in the area, this usually means there is not enough oxygen. The solution here would be detoxification, in order to eliminate all the toxins in your body.

Allergies of different kinds

Headaches can also be caused by nutrient deficiencies. Even the lack of oxygen can trigger an allergic reaction because the lack of oxygen increases the possibility for the allergy to manifest itself.

Tensions

Tensions in the muscles of the face for instance, the neck or in the scalp can trigger a headache. These tensions are the result of increased stress levels.

Problems with the circulation

These problems are a result of stress levels, nutrient deficiencies or even hormonal imbalances. They can all lead to headaches, by causing spasms in the blood vessels. This in turn translates into reduction of blood flows, oxygen supplies to the brain and so on. Strokes are the result of severe disruption in the blood flow.

Migraines or headaches?

The migraine, which is not an intense headache, can be caused by dilation of the blood vessels. The warning symptoms include fatigue nausea, blurring or bright spots in the vision.

Remember if you have headaches regularly, for instance a couple of times once every three times, you should be really thinking of letting go of pain killers and trying to seek an answer for it. It is extremely important to identify the root of the problem, the source of the headache, before the problem advances or something else arises.
