Tips For Great Eye Makeup

To look great when you go out partying, you should concentrate on good eye makeup. To create wonders with your eyes, the following tips can be of help.

To begin with, prepare your eyes by using a concealer to remove the redundant colors surrounding the eyes. Just three drops of concealer should be applied beneath each eye.  Presto…! The Dark circles beneath the eyes are gone. Since the inner edges of your eyes will be darkest, the first of three drops need to be applied on the inner edges, while the second can go beneath the pupil, and the last one on outer edges. Now tenderly rub the place using your ring finger till the concealer melts away.

Next, apply eye base to eyelids. If properly applied, the eye shadow will last longer. To prevent eye shadow from melting, apply eye base prior to eye shadow.

It’s time now for eye shadows. Begin applying from the eyelids and extend it to the eyebrow. A great way to prepare eye shadow is to get hold of a shadow of 3 colors, and mix them up. Use a light color first, which is akin to your eye color, while lids should get a medium color, finally a darker color, leaving them to blend.

To make your eyes look bigger, line your eyes from the inner to outer edges, with a slanted wet brush and then line the eyes with a darker eye shadow from inner to outer edge. Repeat the exercise for the lower lashes.

By using an eye highlighter besides eyeliners, your eyes can stand out. Gold or pink colored highlighters suit a night makeup. The inner edges of eyes can be penciled with a “v” with the highlighter as you soften it with your fingers.
Eyebrows also can be highlighted with the highlighter, by drawing on your brows lightly.

The last step for a great eye make up is to curl the eyelashes, following it up with mascara, applied on both the eyelashes. The application method for mascara differs from brand to brand; you should therefore read the instructions before use.
