Treating Body Acne
October 14, 2009
Acne is a skin disorder that affects adults as well as teenagers. It is commonly found on the face but acne can spread to other parts of the body such as the shoulders, back or chest.
If you are an adult who has a problem with acne on your body, take a moment to read this article. You will learn some ways to treat adult body acne.
Steer clear of products
Many skin care products available on the market are meant to prevent and treat acne. You have to be careful when choosing such a skin care product. Many products are non-comodogenic, which means that they will clog the pores in the skin. If you are interested in using a skin care product, make sure that the packaging says that the product is non-comodgenic. If you still experience acne, stop using the product.
Don’t wear tight fitting clothing
Tight-fitting clothing can cause body acne because it does not allow the skin to breathe. When a person sweats in tight-fitting clothing, the material absorbs the perspiration and causes the sweaty, dirty clothing to stick to a person’s skin. This causes bacteria to find their way into the skin’s pores. Wear clothing that is loose. Also, look for natural clothing material such as cotton that allows the skin to breathe.
Wash your bed sheets
Some adults prefer to sleep without clothing on. This may not seem like a problem but if you do not launder your bed sheets often, when your skin comes in contact with the dirty sheets you can increase the chances of developing acne.
Natural control
When most adults get adult body acne their first thought is to go visit a dermatologist and get a prescription for acne fighting medication. The medication may help fight acne in the beginning but it may hurt your body in the end. The word antibiotic is Greek for anti-life. Antibiotics can kill off even the bacteria that are healthy.
Adult body acne is the result of an excess of toxins in our body that are not removed. The way to treat body acne is to remove the harmful toxins from your body naturally. You can naturally treat acne by making healthy changes to your diet or by using natural products such as tea tree oil or castor oil.
