Types of relationships

Man is a social animal that is what people say. It is true also. All of us need our own type of contacts with other people around us, be it friends, family or even neighbors. We need people around us that we can connect with.
Relationship within the family
The first contact with human beings we get is within our family. Family seems to be the first of our relationships. We are ourselves within the family and it is there that we learn how to make relationships and maintain them. Our family is always at the base of all of our relationships. This relationship is the most cherished of all. Of course, these days’ things may seem to be a little bit different, with the divorce rates at an all time high, families are breaking up and children no more enjoy the care, comfort and love of a complete family.
It is important that we try to maintain this wonderful relationship as well as we can because this certainly is the first source of love and warmth for a child.
Sometimes, however, it can be tough keeping a healthy relationship between a parent and a child. This relationship is affected by all sorts of problems like generation gap between the child and the parent, lack of communication and such other problems. Nevertheless, both the parent and the child should make an effort to maintain this relationship.
Parents should avoid trying to control their children. It is not always possible to control them because as they grow they too form their own personalities. Hence, at such a stage it is important that a healthy communication is established between the parents and children so that children do not feel unloved.
Parents, being the more mature ones in this relationship, should be more understanding of their children. Instead of controlling them, they should try to steer their child into a better way by giving affection and keeping the line of communication open. Children on the other hand should trust their parents for their good and remember that it might just be possible that they know better, at least in some matters.
Relationship between lovers
This is the most beautiful of all relationships. It is also the most complicated one. Two individuals coming together and loving each other more than anything in the world, does seem to be surprising and quite interesting. It is a wonderful feeling to love someone and it even more wonderful to be loved back by that person. You share your life together, all the moments, good and the bad. Suddenly, it seems as if your whole world is revolving around that one person, who makes you eager to live and for whom you are ready to even die.
But even this relationship has its own share of problems. If not maintained properly, it can turn into the worst nightmare of your life. This relationship also requires good communication between the partners. Also it requires that you respect each other and have confidence in each other so that you are able to respect each other’s individual space. After all, you would not want to gag your partner by controlling his/her life. A little understanding will let love abound.
Relationship with neighbors
There is not much that can be said about this relationship. Everybody has become a lot more private these days and nobody wants nosy neighbours around. But it would help to at least maintain friendly terms with your neighbours, you never know when you may need them.
