Weight loss – facts not fiction

In the world of today, weight loss and fitness are a big issue. Everyone wants to be a size zero. Less weight is good, but literary anorexic is not healthy either. If you want to stay fit and fine, you have to have a proper diet. But at the same time do not stuff yourself, because that is one of the main causes of over-weight.

There is no shortcut to a good health. You have to work hard to earn it. Sure there are a lot of programs and pills that will promise a drastic weight loss in no time, but they are not healthy and some might have adverse effect on your health.

If you want to lose those extra pounds and want to be in proper shape then the first thing you need is commitment and a positive attitude. You have to believe in yourself that you can get into shape.

Decide how much weight you want to lose. Once again, do not target something that is almost impossible to attain. If you wish to be 60 pounds, that will be impossible and even if you do manage, you will have to starve yourself and become anorexic. Target something reasonable.

Now here is the method. There are several ways in which you can lose your extra weight. You can do for yoga, freehand exercise, aerobics, jogging in the morning or just go to the gym. But make sure you stick to that. And staying fit does not mean that you can give up exercise when you have lost the weight you wanted. You have to keep it up to be in proper shape.

Next is the diet. Watch what you are eating. Chocolates and cheese might look tempting, but they are the ones who are giving you the extra pounds. Avoid oily food and stuff that has too much sugar. But do not deprive yourself. If you have a sweet or a big piece of double cheese pizza, then the next day, work out a bit longer to kill the extra calorie.

Last but not the least do not sit in front of the computer or TV for too long. Take a break from your desk work and walk for a while whenever you get the chance.
