What Men Want

Isn’t it surprising that after spending thousands of years together, men and women still seem to fail in understanding each other. And failing to an extent, that has made the very topic the centre of numerous gigs, humorous stories, cynical articles and much more.

After years of being with a man, why do we still have to wonder what it is that he wants? We very conveniently attribute this to women being from Venus and men being from Mars. Seriously ladies! Figuring out what your man wants is not rocket science. And more often than not, your man wants exactly what you want!

It’s a myth that women need more love than men. Come off it! Men are not made of stone. They need as much care and nurturing in a relationship as you do. Just because they are hesitant in showing emotions doesn’t mean that they don’t have any.

Men need a woman who is attractive. (before you start shouting about men being shallow, please read on) It does not mean that the woman has to be the ramp material. Men want women who are confident of their looks and feminity. It is attractive to men when women adore and take of their bodies.

Men look for a partner who is understanding and supportive. Constant nagging is a big turn off for them. And men sometimes need some space of their own. Or time with their buddies. A woman who understands and respects this need for space ranks high on a man’s list.

Men want their opinions and advice to matter to you. Never tell a man your problems if you don’t want any solutions. (telling problems just to relieve yourself is something men will never understand) Men pride themselves on being problem-solvers. Trashing those solutions is like crushing his male-ego.

Trust is a very important part of a relationship for a man. If a man can’t trust you, he will never be interested in you. And a man can never forgive a woman who is unfaithful.

A man wants a woman he can share a few light moments with. A good sense of humor is a quality men love in women. Men find it uncomfortable to be around women who are too serious or too tight about things.

Most importantly, a man wants a woman who will leave him alone with his beer when the football game begins!
